Woah, Loom. I didn't know anyone else remembered that. A truly underrated game if ever there was one. I spent many moons figuring out how to defeat the end boss, and then could not convince a single one of my friends to enjoy the awesomeness when I had beaten it. They all thought the main character looked too girly. BAH! Real men play music with magic sticks! And shroud themselves in gray cloaks! And... weave! Right? Right?
Man, Lucasarts used to be awesome.

Toejam and Earl 2! Pure funkiness!
I remember playing this when i was younger and had my Sega Genesis. I remember loving it, but I couldn't rember anything else about it. Then I started downloading abandonware a few days ago, and that metomorphasized (that was hard to type, and it's probably spelt wrong) into downloading emulators/roms, and now I can enjoy the funkiness all over again! It's super freaky!

Lunar: The Silver Star Story (Sega CD, Sega Saturn, Playstation, Gamboy Advance) Lunar 2: Eternal Blue (Sega CD, Sega Saturn, Playstation) Lunar: School of Magic (Sega Saturn) I just love this game. So much in fact that I’ve imported copies of this game and bought most of the alternate art disks (few are still eluding me ) for every system that it is available. I also have Lunar mouse pads, poster, and action figures/plush dolls.

X-COM UFO, Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, The Longest Journey, StarCraft Brood War, Warcraft-all...simply brilliant. It is impossible to choose one, however I can say that most of the great games come from the last century, post 2001 are just to 3Dish, they're all muscle and no brain. Oh yeah and also arcade games such as Samurai Shodown rule.

Holy thread ressurection!!!!!
Shadowrun snes/sega Aidyn Chronicles n64 Ogre Battle/Tactics 64/ps/gb
Those games right there I've probably played more console wise then anything else, and if I had time I'd be playing them 24 hours a day still. Of course World of Warcraft, but I think ya know, this isn't an mmog thing, it was a console thing mostly. If i had to take 3 like sets of games, it'd be those I think. You can play any of those games for HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS and be like just totally engrossed forever and they inspire a LOTTTTTT.
omg this was the 666th time its been read, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
phew i made it 667. phew. the world is saved!
