People still read PvP? Huh. You learn something new every day. What with it being well drawn, occasionally related to videogames, and still (to me) funny, yes. Mr "Tries to Force Mac Hall Down My Throat Every Lunar Cycle".

I'm playing Final Fantasy VII believe it or not. My parents didn't want me to become a hermit, so they never ever bought me a video game console (I guess it's worked out for the better). But then my sister's fiance got his brother's old chunky PSX and I can finally find out what the fuss is all about I like it, so far.

Uh oh... the Sprite Monster is about to be unleashed! Batten down the hatches! Seal up the seals!
*In the distance, the sound of a walker clumps down the halls... a wheezy cough echoes through the dreadful silence*
Faint Voice: In MY day, we didn't need your fancy-schmancy polygons or big swords! We had bad typos and 2-D soap operas, and that's the way we liked it, by garsh!

I love your flair for the dramatic, Mr Exaggerator.
Final Fantasy 3/6 was a tremendous RPG, full of story, emotion, great gameplay, and secrets. Final Fantasy 7 could be described in this way, but lesser in each category, and too full of "look Ma, I burned me a CD!" FMV fluff.
Yep. Justin has the 80's, I have the 90's.

"Justin, counterpoint?"
FFVII was fun, had a great story with one of the most memorable FF villains (and plot twists) of all time, AND it had Cid in his best iteration ever.
All FF3/6 had was a bunch of muppets.

Actually, my preference toward FF3/6 is slight, and likely partially circumstantial as well. It was the first FF game I really got into. (FF1 just didn't do anything for me. Sorry.) Also, I've always thought FF3/6 had a somewhat better "feel" to it. "Feel" can be defined as what 3/6 has a lot of, 7 has only slightly less of, 9 has a moderate amount of, and 8 has none of.

Hahaha... whatever he just said, I concur. My preference for 3/6 over 7 is also not the end all be all you continually paint it to be, J. But the preference is still there. Probably had a lot to do with being a Nintendo fan at the time... we were still getting games on a system with less storage space on it, so designers for Nintendo couldn't rely on FMV movies to pad their games. It had to be all game, all the time. And Shadow did indeed rock.

And FF7 was my first FF game, so point conceded to nostalgia.
I still think Chrono Trigger can kick any other SNES RPG in the butt, tho. Frog told me so.
