...was kickass. Not "kick ass" like two seperate words, but one word...kickass...a la Eric Cartman. That was some superb writing, Clare. And now I am stoked to see this movie.
Rock on.

I knew there was a reason we kept her on the payroll. That, and she threatened us with a butter knife she sharpened with her teeth while in solitary for 40 days.

Oh yay! Unsolicited compliments. For joy. ;D
I'm glad somebody liked it. I had a hell of time talking about Kill Bill without giving away the store.

I had a hell of time talking about Kill Bill without giving away the store. Having now seen it (yay! Everyone go watch it!), I can totally relate to where you're coming from. And as I said to a friend of mine, "If the last line of the movie isn't ten times the cliffhanger that Reloaded was, you're insane". And nothing recommends a movie like insanity, people. NOTHING.

The last line of the movie was a good cliffhanger, but come on, you just knew it was coming. I was waiting the whole movie to hear that line. Great way to get people even more excited about the second part, I'll give him that.

Eh, I'm pretty naive that way. I didn't see it coming. I won't say more for fear of spoilers, just that I didn't see how it was possible.

And you'll have to save a LOT of pesos, as Quentin wants TWICE as much of your money this time! Oh, yessss!

"And another thing, Peter Jackson should have just made it one ten hour Lord of the Rings movie! He's just money-mongering by splitting it up like that!"
Jeez, Justin, let it go. The movie is terrific, but all three hours of it at once would have been a mistake to release. It'd be too much.

That and it wasn't his idea to split it in two. Miramax wanted it heavily edited to be under 2 hours and QT wasn't having it (and I think, rightly so). So since Miramax wouldn't release a 3.5 hour long movie and QT wouldn't edit it, they're doing the two part thing.
If you're going to get pissed about spending money on movies in a series, be pissed when you fork it over for something that sucks. (I'm looking at you Matrix Reloaded.)

Sorry, Pooly, I reserve my right to feel miffed at QT for his lack of editing sense when it costs me more money. But that's okay... not like you've ever heavily held on to a grudge or anything or repeated your same little rant about Family Guy a thousand times Plus... why NOT release it as a 3 hour movie? I mean, I've waded through Braveheart and Titanic and God knows whatever other insanely long epic flicks, and if Kill Bill was worth it, I would much rather sit through one longer movie edited the way QT wanted than spending the additional time to see two parts of one movie. And I'm not just saying that -- I really wouldn't complain about having to sit through both parts back to back.

not like you've ever heavily held on to a grudge or anything or repeated your same little rant about Family Guy a thousand times Hey, I call foul! The last time I brought up Family Guy on the Forum I praised it! Seriously! Plus... why NOT release it as a 3 hour movie? Maybe they should have. But all I've ever said is that I agree with the decision, because it's pretty damn intense. Of course, having seen it, I can make that call.
