I think it was Ruthven or something along those lines. Yeah, It's Ruthven. The Vampyre by Polidori. I think it was Polidori. If I'm spelling it correctly.

Lord Ruthven was indeed one of them, from The Vampyre- originally credited to Lord Byron, but now known to have been written by his lover, Polidori. Had some attributes we don't normally associate with modern vampires -- like can be killed by normal means, but is revived when moonlight hits his corpse -- but pretty cool nonetheless.
Doesn't look like anyone's going to be answering the other two, so I'll just give the answers. The female vampire was Carmilla, AKA Mircalla, AKA Millarca, who posed as her own descendants and preyed on young women a number of years before Dracula hit the scene. And the star of the penny-dreadfuls was Varney the Vampire, the hapless vamp who kept getting interrupted just as he was about to bite a victim. Poor guy.
Okay, MarsNeedsTowels got one of them, so... Mars? Got a question?

I took myself out of the running when I looked it up on wikipedia.
I wouldn't have gotten any of them, anyway.

Alright i'll give it a go, i'd like this answer in the form of a question.
This region of the red planet Mars is known for being the birthplace of the USS Enterprise, and a tourist attraction for Vikings.

Cydonia is probably the most commonly known area of Mars, but the answer i'm looking for would probably be the second.

What about Olympus Mans? That's better known, I think. (I guessed that at first but then I tried to confirm it and realized I was wrong.)

Having no knowledge about either the parts of Mars or the origins of the Enterprise, and only entry-level Viking knowledge, I'm going to guess Valhallah.

Well, I didn't mean Viking as the rape, pillage and plunder Vikings, I meant the Viking landers, more specifically Viking 2. Here's another hint: You might say this region of Mars is a misnomer, it's far from being perfect, an unprotected human being would probably die within seconds here.

Here's an easy one: in the movie Citizen Kane, what's the name of Kane's mansion?
