Does that mean I'm right? Hooray!
If I yam indeed at bat, I think I'll stick with the Citizen Kane theme and build on the last question:
Many things in the life of Charles Foster Kane were lifted directly from the life of newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst, including the palatial Xanadu. Hearst's estate in real life was half the size of Rhode Island and contained the largest private zoo in the world; what was it's name?

You were indeed right.
I almost asked who Kane's character was based upon.
Ugh--I know this, I just can't think of it right now.

Okay, hmm. In the spirit of the season:
Who wrote "The Night Before Christmas" and for bonus points, what was the poem's original title?

I'm probably way way way off the mark here, but I'll take a guess:
Charles Dickens?

Oh, I know the bonus question, but not the main one! And there are so many places/people in my house that have the answer...blast my integrity!

I remember watching a TV special that told the entire story behind the writing of that poem but of course the only part i cannot remeber is the answer to the question... GRRRRRRRRR.....

Nope not Dickens, but a good guess. He must've been too busy torturing snarly old men and crippled boys to write this'un. C'mon, anyone else? Sue

Clemmet (or Clemett) C. Moore.
The original title was "A Visit From St. Nicholas".

In keeping with holiday tradition, we read it aloud last night, too... first thing I did was flip to the title page to see who wrote it. Too much integrity to cheat, though- curses!
