Heck, I've never seen 2001 all the way through. I've seen all of it, at different times, but I usually fall asleep during a single sitting. I'm not surprised. The movie is so boring it seems longer than the book.

I will say I've never seen the original Star Wars trilogy all the way through. Some people might call a bad thing. oh it's not a bad thing. It's an extremely overly awful thing. Don't be like that! Maybe penguin just hasn't watched the credits all the way through. Let's just say I've seen enough to enjoy Star Robot Chicken Wars and end it at that. Caddyshack is the one where Bill Murray is obessed with a rodent, right? Like a groundhog or something? No, that's Groundhog Day. All I know about the movie is that there's this trivia game for it at Farms & Rubble, and on the front is Bill Murray looking disturbed and some kind of rodent in a hole on a golf course. Am I on the right track?

Am I on the right track? Bingo. It's gophers, actually. Them and fancy (or any kind of) golf courses don't mix well. Hence Bill Murray's obsession, which leads him to sculpt a little gopher-formed lump of plastic explosives. You can see where this is going...

This is no lie, every time Caddyshack or gophers are mentioned my family does that little dance of his. On one of the few occasions we were all together in the same room someone brought up the movie and, like some sort of hypnotic suggestions, we did the little dance. My sister in-law (who was still new to the family and still hasn't seen it as far as I know) looks at us and goes "Oh my God." Yep, these are the genes you married into. Like it.
Still haven't seen Assault on Precinct 13, Taxi Driver, or all of Raging Bull, DTH.

Well, now that plastic explosives, gophers, and funny dances are involved, I'm going have to get in on this. The only time I've seen the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie all the way through was in Spanish for the class of the same name. However from what I heard from classmates, the Spanish version was much better.

Where do I sign up? *And is Johnny Depp gonna be my teacher? ;D* Oh, stop it However, I know that Señorita Ayres would love to co-teach a class with Señor Depp, so I can't roll my eyes at that. I suppose that it would be shameful to be one of the apparently few and far between people who thought Tom Cruise was awesome as the vampire Lestat. Not that I am. I'm just speaking hypothetically...

Aw come on, can't a girl dream? Lewd, uncalled for dreams?
Anyway I, an affirmed MEH-sayer of Tom Cruise did, in fact, not hate him in Interview With A Vampire.
Also good heavens almighty...what right does a child Kirsten Dunst's age in that movie have to act that well?

This might not count, because I'm not ashamed of it, but I think Watchmen is the most overrated thing since...ever. I read the comic book once and was so completely turned off by the character of The Comedian that I just stopped reading. And it's not like I don't like Alan Moore either, I loved V for Vendetta both the comic and movie. But I can't stand Watchmen.

I was astounded by the writing, and visuals used to effect like no other comic I'd ever seen. Even so I agree with you on The Comedian. He wasn't a character that I cared for at all. I think he has a point in representing a type of person and that plays a bigger part in the overall social commentary. But..yeah he's a total *insert bad word here* and not someone I think we're supposed to sympathize with at all. I hope you'll give it another try. A point along these lines: When I asked my husband, who watched the movie with me and had never read the comic, what he thought one of the first things out of his mouth was "Man. The Comedian was a real jerk!". That didn't make Jeffery Dean Morgan any less smokin' hot, though.

"Psychologically, I'm very confused..."
