My child correctly identifying "Orange Lorax" on his Dr. Suess flashcards. Proud moment.

Adding another name to the "Mutants I've Met and/or Possibly Hugged*" list. Good to see you yesterday, Heather!
* I don't think I ever hugged Drew...

We have to do it again, for sure (and make sure to coordinate it around tap-dancing children so that we can recapture that ambiance).

The total, sincere appreciation from a child to whom you have just given a gift.
Thanks, Sean and PoolGirl, for helping me find that candy store. The girls' reactions really made my day.

It had to happen someday. My job involves providing feedback on people being considered for employment, and as part of that I see some info about candidates' most recent jobs. Today, I received results for a woman whose previous employer was... [drumroll] S-Mart Foods.
Shop smart. Shop S-Mart.

That's awesome. I'm going to go look up S-Mart right now and pray there's one in the area.

Sitting down with PoolGirl to go over how we want to spend the various rewards points our credit cards have accumulated over the years and agreeing on a Nintendo Wii!

Wanted to make sure I posted this here because several MRFHers supported me...
I mailed in a donation check, today and realized that with it, my team for the Breast Cancer 3 Day has raised OVER TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. I am so excited and grateful!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...misery is- it's supposed to rain all weekend, and be freezing. So please pray that we don't all die of hypothermia trying to fight cancer!

Eh, the cold has a funny way of being less important in the face of stuff like that. WOOT on the fundraising!

Been keeping quiet 'cause I didn't want to jinx anything or get too excited in case it all fell apart (actually still trying not to get too excited, because things have a way of doing that on me sometimes)....
Getting a fairly cool job that everyone seems to think you're going to be fairly cool at.
First "real" work day (already been through two rather grueling training/final thinning out days that count as work days) is Sunday night. Kinda nervy, prayers and good vibes t'would be appreciated.
