I sent an e-mail to the guys at art.com and got this response:
Hi,
Thank you for contacting Art.com.
We are experiencing some technical problems in this particular section of the site. We are working hard to fix this and it will be rectified within couple of weeks.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

I got almost the same email from artpad support, except in mine they said: "We would like to inform that we are facing some techincal problems with this (Save&Send)feature and our IT guys are working on it. We expect this to be sorted out in a week's time."
I support the idea of either postponing the contest or extending the deadline. I guess I'll have to put off the few more doodle ideas that are stirring around in my head.
