Feel free to disregard. Just something really silly that myself and someone else came up with. This is what happens when you're shut in too long from the rain, and you read "The Gashlycrumb Tinies," and you're a Heroes fan...
A is for Audrey: an FBI agent B is for Bennet: with unknown intent C is for Claire: she survives falls D is for DL: he walks through walls E is for Eden: who took herself out F is for “Flying Man!” that’s what Nathan’s about G is for Gabriel Gray: Sylar’s real name H is for Hana: of “Wireless” fame I is for Isaac: paints prophetic art J is for Jessica: who tears people apart K is for Killed, like Charlie in the diner L is for Linderman: shadowy masterminder M is for Mama, Petrelli dame N is for Ninth Doctor, as Claude Rains O is for Officer, Matt Parkman, poor guy P is for Peter - Get the hair outta your eyes! Q is for Quiet, just like The Haitian R is for Radioactive, Ted Sprague’s evocation S is for Striptease, Niki, she’s sometimes nude T is for Thompson: Eric Roberts: One. Creepy. Dude. U is for “Unspecial Ando” …It’s funnier than it sounds V is for Vengeance, that’s Mohinder’s grounds W is for “Walker System” Molly, she’s just too cute X is for X-rayed ATM. Micah made off with the loot Y is for “Yatta!” Hiro’s trend Z is for Zach: Claire’s best friend

I now have the entire series on my Ipod. What did you guys think of the season finale? Too anti climactic? My interior jury is still deliberating...

Well I managed to spend the entire year avoiding Heroes, knowing that I'd be watching it on DVD later on. I think I did a good thing -- all 23 episodes played like a great big movie back-to-back, and my wife and I did marathon viewings to get it all down.
Great stuff, loads of fun, and there will be a lot of MRFHy Heroes goodness in your future.
As for Peter and the finale, I'm mulling a lot of the same things. I think the easiest and best solution is to say that the boy doesn't have full control over his powers, where and how to bring them out just yet. He seems to be able to do invisibility the most. So the combination of the radiation buildup plus his sometimes-inability to draw on a power could result in him needing Nathan to fly him away. Plus, Peter's so highly dependant on his brother to help him out of jams that it might well by psychological as well.
Who's to say, by the way, that Nathan didn't fly them both into outer space, above the atmosphere, for the few seconds of the explosion? After all, he can instantly break the sound barrier, so the 20 or so miles up might not be too far away. Just a thought.

Just got done watching the final episode last night. "Wow" about sums it up. That is one cool show, I can't believe I wasn't watching from the beginning... and yet, I can't say I minded having a chance to watch all the episodes in close order and missing that six-week gap you guys had to put up with. Still, I hereby apologize for not having been watching from the start and posting right alongside you guys; as a diehard comic geek, I feel like I let everyone down somehow. That madness ends when season 2 starts. Who's to say, by the way, that Nathan didn't fly them both into outer space, above the atmosphere, for the few seconds of the explosion? After all, he can instantly break the sound barrier, so the 20 or so miles up might not be too far away. Just a thought. That was sort of my thinking too, actually. I mean, the guy's like Northstar, he can fly at supersonic speeds. Because of that, it'd also be pretty easy to bring him back next season if they really wanted to... all he had to do was fly Peter really, really high up, then when it looked like he was about to go critical, let go and fly away as fast as possible. Not saying that's what they'll do, but it wouldn't be that unbelievable to bring Nathan back. We'll see. The other thing I kind of wondered about is why Claire was so hesitant to shoot Peter. After having a tree branch removed from her own brain and taking a shard of glass out of Peter's, you'd think she'd know that removing the foreign object starts the healing process. So if Peter's going critical, shoot him in the head and then just remove the bullet later. How hard is that? (Yeah, yeah, I know... don't think too hard about it. I'm just sayin'.) -D, hoping Audrey returns next season and displaces Mrs. Matt, who still sucks...

Just... disappointed. *solemnly shakes head* So as someone who has now seen the show, what would you say about the Rising Stars comparison?

So as someone who has now seen the show, what would you say about the Rising Stars comparison? Ssssomewhat noticeable, but certainly not a direct ripoff or a show-killer. There are some similar elements -- the "superpowers in the real world" angle (not that either property pioneered that), the astronomy imagery (shooting star vs. eclipse), the shadowy agency involvement and attempt to regulate powered individuals, the concept of one "Special" killing others to gain more power, the split personality chick with the evil alter ego -- yeah, they exist, but the stories certainly play out differently. As others have said, it's like Rising Stars meets the X-Men, at least so far. -D

Well it's about time! I was seriously disappointed when they made a big deal about the lock of hair getting cut off and then the next week it was like, 'No, still there.'
By the way, how weird was it to go back and listen to the original Indian accent Sendhil Ramamurthy was going for before he went to the British one?

By the way, how weird was it to go back and listen to the original Indian accent Sendhil Ramamurthy was going for before he went to the British one? Haha, I loved it! I was so confused at first, having completely forgot about the accent thing. And then I decided it was the most amusing thing ever NUMBER TWO REASON WHY SEASON 2 WILL BE AWESOME: New Heroes! The cast will now include Dania Ramirez, Shalim Ortiz, Dana Davis, (as StarOpal stated earlier) Nichelle Nichols, Kristen Bell, and David Anders. I personally am very excited about the latter 3. NUMBER THREE REASON WHY SEASON 2 WILL BE AWESOME: Old favorites are back! Luckily it seems that both Petrellis, Matt, and Sylar all survived the finale. I don't think the same can't be said for poor DL (I haven't seen him in any promos,) but I don't think too many people care about that. NUMBER FOUR REASON WHY SEASON 2 WILL BE AWESOME: Hiro as a samurai! Don't even pretend you're not excited about that!

*huff*puff*gasp*wheeze*
-whew-
okay, I've rewatched the ten episodes I saw, watched the twelve episodes i didn't, finished all the commentaries, watched all the special features, and read through ten pages of postings. I really think I'd like to take a day off from Heroes before the season premiere. Oh well, no rest for the unrepentantly lazy.
So, uh, I agree with everything you guys already said. As far as The Big Bomb goes, I don't see any reason why it couldn't have been a low-radiation explosion. Ted was able to redirect his energies into an EMP, so it's not unreasonable to think that Peter, knowing the future had been changed, was able to snap out of his paralysis and make some last-second changes. That's an awful lot of speculation, of course.
There could also be some fallout that just hasn't been mentioned yet because they were too busy wrapping up the season.
Anyway, onwards and upwards to Generations!

So... thoughts on the second season premiere?
-Thank all that is holy, Matt divorced the cheating, ungrateful Mrs. Matt. Plus things are finally going well for him, at least temporarily. I do hope we get an explanation at some point as to what happened to Mrs. Matt, whether she's still pregnant, and Matt's recovery from the shooting. In the meantime, I hear Audrey is single...
-Dude, Nathan looks like Steve Carrell from those previews for Evan Almighty. Time to get off the sauce, guy.
-Fans of Niki, D.L., and Micah must be throwing stuff at their TV right about now.
-I think we all saw the "Kensei wasn't the legendary hero that Hiro looked up to" card coming, but I didn't foresee him being an Englishman. Let's take a poll: who thinks Hiro will train Kensei to actually be heroic, versus who thinks Hiro will just perform all the feats himself?
-Previews seem to indicate Sylar is... kicking back on a beach somewhere? In a Hawaiian shirt? Of all the incongruous looks...
-Ando's new hairstyle is cool, but I was disappointed by George Takei's (apparently) final fate. He was a great guest star, he'll be missed.
-Poor Peter... lose the bangs, lose your memory, apparently. Did he use telekinesis to shove that guy away, or some kind of lightning power?
-Jack Coleman is still hilarious. And... YES! Mr. Muggles!
-D
