you know you're a geek when you download the soundtracks to Grim Fandango, the Curse of Monkey Island, and the Neverhood, and you're also searching for the Um Jammer Lammy soundtrack.

You know you're a geek when you post a reply just to reassure a fellow poster that it's okay because the soundtracks to Grim Fandango on The Curse of Monkey Island are awesome.

You're wearing a shawl and have a toddler dressed as a dragon cuddled in your arms, and you actually consider telling anyone who asks you're dressed as Lady Sybil Vimes.

You know you're a geek (and you're raising one) when your two-year-old walks around singing the songs from "Once More, With Feeling" because he's heard you sing them (to your newborn, so maybe we're raising two) that often. And he knows all the words!!!!!
(Even if he does think it's "Walk through the spider")

Walk through the spider? That is the cutest thing ever, Lissa. You know you're a geek when you're talking on the phone to a friend, and he mentions a problem and says, "I don't know what a normal person would do," and your instinctive response is, "Well, I could ask my sister. She's pretty close to normal."

When the fact that you lose an hour of your birthday due to Daylight Saving Time is offset by the neat fact that hey, your birthday is the same day as DST!

when you see a pack of chlorophyll gum, and, rather than the more logical "what the heck is chlorophyll gum?", your first thought is "Chlorophyll? More like BORE-OPHYLL!"
*edited to cover up the fact that I still get "your" and "you're" mixed up...

You know you're a geek when you beat Castles 2 - Siege and Conquest in half a day, on impossible difficulty, a feat that up til now I thought... was impossible. For those of you unawares, Castles 2 could kick Deep Thought's ass on EASY mode. You thought moving up in difficulty on Guitar Hero was challenging? Now if only my work would actually give me work. I think I'll beat every single Leisure Suit Larry game in my cube.

-You scream, laugh, and cry when the Doctor Who howl-around in "Family Guy: Blue Harvest" catches you by surprise and makes you so friggin' happy!!
-You bought a copy of "Physics of the Impossible" by Michio Kaku. Not because you can understand it, au contraire you dropped out of Physics after the first semester. Not because you'll ever read it, because it's filled with words you could neverunderstand in a thousand years. No, you shelled out $26.95 plus tax just because it has a little picture of the TARDIS on the cover.
-You actually loved the Doctor Who TV movie with Paul McGann.
-You did Quiz Bowl AND Science Olympiad in high school, and you got medals for each.
-You're afraid that on page where everyone is talking about what a big geek they are, someone will tease you and call you a big geek.
