Okay, ep 103, I am not digging the relationship between Peter Pan and the g-friend of the heroinaddict artist. Not cool writers of Heroes, not cool.
Also, I never-ever want to wake up in the middle of my own autopsy, no thank you.

Remember, kids, heroin gives you powers!
I'm not liking the triangle of love either. Shame on the writers. And how big of a [jerk] is Older Flying Brother? Bet Thanksgiving's going to be awkward this year...
On the upside more Japanese Guy and Japanese Sidekick. Totally the best part of the show so far. Also the characters starting to come together. Which they better get a move on if people are going to be traveling by car and they only have five weeks to get their ducks in a row.
Oh, and what was in Silah's apartment? A bowl. The bowl he eats the brains out of. Mmm hmm.

This is gonna be a long one I hope you girls are patient enough to read it.(crosses fingers) Ok I'm gonna refer to both your posts. Let's kick it first of all with The Artist's heroin addiction. Heroin doesn't actually give him the power, it only helps him zone out and tune into whatever state of mind he needs to see the future. His is a power that needs practice to wield with great proficiency, and for now using heroin is his catalyst, I expect that he should learn sooner or later to do it without the heroin, most probably either by dreaming the facts and then painting them or by meditation. We can already see the dividing beetween two types of super-powers: the reflex super power(The Cheerleader) and the powers that need training. Interesting fact about The Cheerleader, she can't die by normal means as much as we can gather, BUT if she is killed with some big object that stays lodged in her brain (like this episode) or maybe even heart she is out of comision. It would appear that her body doesn't reject foreign objects as long as she can't get them out of her. Altgough we haven't seen her get shot yet, Wolverine has one up on her regenration powers (X-Men 2). This complete regeneration not explained by a constant X-factor wich allows for more speculation leeds me to a few, maybe hasty, conclusions about the ways The Cheerleader could be killed or at leas put out of comision indefinetly: 1. Industrial press (Terminator 1) 2. Close proximity to a nuclear detonation. And I mean really, really close, not ground zero close, but close enough for her to vaporize 3. Molten lava, or some other really really hot dense liquid, like steal, lead and the like. Also what we've seen are violent kinds of death, but we don't know if her power extends to her immunity system, so maybe Ebola or West Nile or S.A.R.S. or some other super-bug can get her. The Policeman, definetly needs more practice, however I think the black man in the bar is either SYLER or another one of them. (I suggest we call them mutants, since the X-factor is a result of evolution and this series revolves around it). Japanese Guy and Sidekick, one word...uber-cool Yet interesting is the fact that while saving the little girl they actually cause her distress, I believe this is an important aspect wich will have more weight as the series continues. Also Sidekick is seeming a bit like cannon-fodder to me, I mean unless he has some hidden super-powers, he is cooked, because he isn't the comic relief, The Japanese Guy is. Now for the Flying Brothers, they are our enclave of mushy stuff, there is a conflict beetween them now, and "the triangle" has disaster writen all over it girls, I'm telling you it's gonna come down to a cooperation beetween The Artist and Younger Flying Brother and there's gonna be some strange moments there, ripe for pseudo-romantic bull-crap cliches. Blonde Mom is still shrowded in fog, both her powers and her history, it will be interesting to see how her story-line develops. We also saw some of Syler's (if that dude was Syler) powers. Some sort of telekinesis, regeneration, and maybe flying, or runing really fast or jumping or even teleporting. And yes StarOpal this gives more creedence to your theory that he might be eating the brains to collect more powers, but it's still a theory. Of course I'm interested in seeing what you girls think about what I said, constructive criticism is good.

Heroin doesn't actually give him the power, it only helps him zone out and tune into whatever state of mind he needs to see the future. That there was a joke, Sonny Jim. See now I find that interesting. Because if this follows the norm of heroes having opposites, than my guess is Syler would be hers. Think about it, he tends to impale his victims. So that could be a way of a) putting her out of commission or b) holding her for some reason. Eww. I think the man in the bar is not Syler, but is working for Evil Glasses Man. I've developed, yet another, theory on Syler as well. That he (or possibly Bar Man) is Blonde Mom's Son's missing killer father. It's a hunch. La, la, la, la! Not listening! It's not the mushy gushy-ness that bothers me so much as character motivations (three episodes in and I'm thinking this much about character motivations). More specifically the girlfriend's. See she still loves Artist so she's just using Younger Brother. Even after she hears the, false, story about him being suicidal. Grr! I hope she's cannon fodder. Even if Older Brother needs a good beating, I hope he comes around. Oh and I was serious about the bowl. For no other reason than they focused on it. We shall see. Hmm... Another thought: What if it's not a nuclear bomb, BUT a mutant able to generate that power going super nova? In other news - Professor Junior is still an idiot.

I knew I forgot mentioning something. Yes Professor Junior is still an idiot. But you gotta keep in mind when in movie history has a male scientist ever realize his female assistant, neighbour, love-interest is working for the other side.
And about Blonde Mom's MIA Husband, could he be a mutant also? Because the kid seems preety sure no one will find him, but that would imply him knowing about his dad's power. Kinda shaky I know but it could happen.
Oh and about the Japanese Guy and Sidekick, I like them too especially because of mu fascination with their language, culture and anime, but looking at it from an objective view-point...cannon fodder.
Younger Brother doesn't deserve what's comming to him, because you are right, she is using him and like I said the whole thing has disaster writen all over it, will a probable heart-break push him over the edge and start over-compensating for his altruistic attitude by going baddie? Well I guess we have to watch an see as it unfolds.
On a more personal note I'd like to congratulate you here StarOpal for your soon-to-be victory in the Mutant Scavenger Hunt, Lord knows you would have had way more competition from me if it weren't for the +7 hours time diference.

I'm on the Black guy is the kids dad, and the husband of ALi Larter, AND is Sylar as well. I mean, Sylar was in prison, the kid's dad was in prison, then he escaped, and Sylar escaped, it all comes together!
And yes, the Japanese Duo are my favorites. Hiro ftw!
And I think Ali Larter's power is some sort of...base urge type of power. She does what Larter's conscience/fear/whatever doesn't allow her to do.
Not to be a drooly fangirl, but has anyone else noticed the number of extremely attractive males on this show! Mm! Heroin guy, Younger Brother and Scientist Guy are all competing for number one in the Sexy Olympics.

Tonight was certainly interesting. Looks like the younger brother has the power or mimic rather then flight. I also love the badass future Hiro. Can't wait to see whatelse happens to him.

I mean, Sylar was in prison, the kid's dad was in prison, then he escaped, and Sylar escaped, it all comes together! These, these names... Who are these people of which you speak? I think you're right about the black guy being the kid's dad, but I'm still not convinced him and Syler are the same guy. I have been known to be wrong though. On occasion. But that's still not a power, that's just Multiple Personality Disorder. Other than being crazy and kicking loan shark butt she hasn't done anything. But I do wonder if, since she was conscious when she switched, she'll remember this time? As for Future Japanese Guy: Okay we know that this Hiro comes from far enough in the future he's learned very good English. That at some point Younger Brother -Since we can't call him Flying Younger Brother, seems more like Rogue without the harmful side effects- will get a scar that's bad enough he becomes nearly unrecognizable. Whether this is before him and Hiro meet, or it's just been so long since he's seen him without it I don't know. Man this kid just can't catch a break! Oh, and Japanese Guy will grow a soul patch. Poor Psychic Policeman. Loved the Rain Man nod! Why, no, I hadn't noticed... *innocent whistling*

Well, Black guy would be the black guy who doesn't talk and Ali Larter would be...Ali Larter? I can never remember her name in the show...I think it might be Nikki, but I'm not entirely sure.
Anyway, she seemed to easily disarm and overpower that one guy in the elevator, maybe she has a bit of super-strength? Same thing with the whole cutting the man in half thing. I would think that would be pretty difficult to accomplish (Note: Having never done that, nor done much research on the subject, I am not entirely sure).
And since Hiro can stop time, he doesn't necessarily have to come from far in the future to learn better english. He could spend all the time he wants stopping the future to learn it. And apparently, get himself some sweet samurai threads.

seriously ladies? The only reason I started watching this show was for Milo Ventamagiliacan'trememberhisname...but he's even wimpy/stupid like all the other guys in Heroes. I take it back--Hiro isn't completely dumb.
Don't take my negative comment above as how I feel towards the show, I like it and will keep watching. Little-Texas-blondie is the toughest cheerleader since Buffy and it's going to be cool to watch her fight crime...And Hiro totally rocks my socks.

Hmm...Heroes episode 4...hmm. Younger Brother is definitely a male version of Rogue/The Kid That Can Negate Mutant Powers in X-Men 3(on a parallel thought, a similar kid with the exact same powers helps them imprison Apocalypse in X-Men Evolution Season 5), in that he can copy powers if he is near them, but not hurt the original owner in doing so.
From The Artist's drawings we can also conclude that at least some of the mutants are in danger, and that he goes into a complete trance after shooting-up.
Blond Mom's plot is the slowest till now, her screen time in the series annoys me a bit. Could also her kid be supernaturally genius? I mean IF his dad is Syler or The Mute Black Guy, and his mother Blond Mom With Suppressed Rage, then he might be in a position to have inherited his parents genetic anomalies. Also about Blond Mom, in the elevator she said "our son" so we know that the other part of her is present at all times and knows what happens, it could only be as StarOpal pointed out some kind of MPD, maybe her power is greater but hasn't had time to bloom yet, time will tell.
Now about time, future Japanese Guy is really really cool, his English great and looks like a Japanese version of Blade, black leather is always a plus in a superhero outfit. I hope that the writers gave this message a whole lotta thought since it will most probably induce some kind of temporal paradox, I seriously hope they found a way to elude a paradox because that would spoil the whole bloody thing.

Best episode yet, at least to me. I really can't complain of anything. Things are moving forward now that everyone is mostly established. Powers are being used. Mutants are coming together.
More focus on Younger Brother and Artist, Hiro and Sidekick, Cheerleader and Evil Glasses Daddy = all good things.
Blonde Momshell was less irritating, and -yeeha!- Black Guy is the kid's dad. But I'm getting the feeling that I might be proved wrong on him not being Sylar. Dang. I still hold out for brain eating though.
Flying Brother is going to be a bad guy, just has to be. Oh well.
Might catch the replay, that's how much I liked this episode.
Oh, wait, I do have one complaint. Professor Jr. is still a dunderhead.

I'm not so sure flybrother is going to be a baddy. I'm still hoping for a heart of gold. Peter Pan seemed to forget the g-friend pretty fast...I am happy about that. Hiro is awesome. He is sooo unabashed about his powers. My roommate didn't like this episode because "nothing happened" but I thought it was great. But would somebody tell me why the quarterback is still alive? Why didn't she ask him to remove his seatbelt before plowing into that brick wall?

i have yet to watch an episode of this. i got a free download of the first episode when i saw pirates 2, and maybe i'll get around to watching it. i think my friend tivo's every episode, and if not, i have the feeling sci-fi will do about 10 different heroes marathons during the holidays. i'll catch it then, because . . .
RACHEL BILSON LOOK-ALIKE!!!!!
i heard from a review and friends that there is a character on the show (not a primary character, i think she's like "guy across the hall's girlfriend") who looks like rachel bilson. and i was like "well, that may or may not be true." then i think i read that nora zehetner was on the show. brilliant! she's the femme fatale from 'brick' who LOOKS LIKE RACHEL BILSON.
i'm so happy!!!!!!
and if the show is cool, too, then awesome! but that's not really a prerequisite for me. hooray!

I don't think Nathan (flying brother) is gonna turn out to be a bad guy. I mean, he's shrewd, but I don't think he's heartless. After all, in one of the online comics (and I don't know if these are considered Heroes Canon or not) he saves a girl from a burning building. That's hardly the mark of a villain.
But who knows? Gah, I need to go watch the newest episode now (I missed it yesterday).
