Oooh. He did say it wasn't a dead character? I have seen the picture- I discounted it in my article simply because people lie or misdirect. But I firmly believe that- with the possible exception of Helo- all of the humans in the picture have to stay human for one reason or another. Adama's too many mental gymnastics- both him and Lee. Roslin's a cheat; she and Bill are the detectives in the story. Baltar being Cylon undermines his entire story arc. Starbuck... I can't come up with a super-compelling argument, but I really do think she's a red herring. Everyone else was a Cylon. So continue- virtual characters? Elaborate, please!

Gary E. Larson is a consulting producer on the show and he is a member of the LDS church. In the Last Supper Picture one of the things we are asked is "can you break the code? Who is missing from the picture?" There are also two different interpretations of the Quorum of Twelve within the LDS church and when I looked this up in wikipedia, one interpretation fits the Human Quoruom of 12 and the second fits a Cylon Quorum of 12. Here is the information from wikipedia:
Cylon:
The Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has an Apostolic Quorum that is, as yet, incomplete by design. As the Remnant church seeks to “renew” the branch of the Latter Day Saint movement resulting for the 1860 Reorganization, it is attempting to follow the exact pattern of that prior to the reorganization. As such, there are five vacancies in the Quorum as was the case in the council of Twelve of what is now the Community of Christ in the early 1860’s. the First Presidency of the Remnant church is not drawn from the Apostles. Instead, the prophet/president of the church is chosen by lineal descent from the movement’s founder Joseph Smith, Jr.
Baltar appears to provide the role of both president (deposed) and now as a prophet.
Human:
In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Quorum of the Twelve is officially referred to as the "Quorum of the Twelve Apostles." The group normally has a leadership role in the church that is second only to the church's First Presidency. The Quorum implicitly follows the First Presidency's policies and pronouncements and its members are chosen by the First Presidency. However, when the First Presidency is dissolved—which is understood to occur upon the death of the President of the Church—the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles becomes the church's supreme governing body (led by the President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles) until they ordain a new President of the Church and he chooses counselors, which completes the reorganization of the First Presidency. (From Wikipedia)
Laura Roslyn fills the role of President, has been held by Zarek and Lee Adama temporarily. Lee is also now acknowledged by Roslyn as her likely successor.

So what I did was put a matrix of both quorums and tried to fill in the blanks of who was missing in both Quorums and matched it with the "corrected" positions of the biblical apostles in Leonardo's Da Vinci painting (sorry it doesn't translate well as a chart). Cylon Quorum Biblical Quorum Human Quorum Connection D’Anna Simon, the Zelot Roslyn dying leaders Gina/Caprica 6) Jude Thaddeus Dualla consort of the president Tigh Matthew Gaeta has the answer to initial question ???Anti-christ Phillip Christ Leoben James, the Greater Lee connection to divine bloodlines Tory Thomas Baltar doubting Thomas Romo Lampkin Biblical God Adama Bloodline Gods (there is more than one god)Simon John/Lazarus Kara/Beloved Disciple clone/resurrectionAnders Peter Billy/Elosha speakers for the apostles Tyrol Judas Iscariot Cally betrayal Athena (Sharon) Andrew Cottle birth of hera Doral James, the Just Helo spokespersonCavil Bartholomew Adama military leadersSome of these characters are dead and many of them have had near death experiences. I wondered if part of the cylon plan was to replace the members of the human quorum: - Sharon attempts to assassinate Adama and Tigh has flashbacks of doing same. - Tory assassinates Cally. - Zarek suspected of assassination attempt on Roslyn and Adama/Roslyn contemplate same for Zarek - Tigh/Anders/Tyrol/Kara almost assissinate Gaeta - Sharon contemplates assissinating Hera on Cylon Basestar - Cally attempts murder/suicide of herself and Nicholas - Virtual Leoben convinces Kara to suicide - Virtual 6 convinces Baltar to attempt suicide (Gaeta intervenes) - Lee nearly dies in a cylon firefight - Dualla narrowly escapes death in cylon boarding - Billy sacrifices himstel to save Dualla (Ellen is present) - Ellen & Zarek suspected of assassinating witness hired to assassinate Roslyn - Elosha killed on Kobol

Sorry, I know this is long winded. In another blog by a writer, it was suggested that you have to create a backstory or make a set of assumptions in order for the story to hold together. It was also stated that RDM was not going to use anything like aliens, time travel or any kind of star trek constructed physics but would stick with cladistics and more scientific thinking.
So in terms of the Galactica history; we now know that there have been 3 exoduses; and at least 2 holocausts causing the remnants of the human race to move on. It now appears that earth also experienced a holocaust and total destruction or at least we can surmise that if you take the "all this has happened before and all will happen again" refrain to describe the cycle of destruction and exodus. Historically when such an event occurs; technology and knowledge are lost and sometimes histories are rewritten incompletely or containing falsehoods. So we would have to assume that the original cylon technology was developed on earth and that it was the most advanced. We could assume that mankind developed the ability to download their core personalities into some kind of advanced AI and then download them back to a human body. Individuals with this knowledge would seem like gods to normal humans, so I also surmise that this technology was not available to all of humanity. After the first holocaust, some of these advanced cylons and the remnants of humanity fled to Kobol and developed a civilization on this planet Kobol. They left certain sign posts behind that point the way to earth but also hid the location and knowledge of earth from the human population and wrote an alternate history with dire warnings. From this we get the worship of Lords of Kobol and such religious texts as the book of Pythia. We can surmise that this population came from earth because they use the Roman pantheon to describe their gods. They also retained certain other technologies such as nuclear weapons; food crops; ftl flight etc. These all place them as originating from earth. The cycle of destruction and annihilation repeated itself and the remnants fled to the 12 colonies and started over again.
In this 2nd holocaust, the cylon technology appears to have been lost and recreated by humans and we get the first cylon war, armistice and then the second cylon war with the new skinjob cylons and toasters. We are given to believe that the cylons having developed their own consciousness, revolted and would not continue as slaves and that it was the cylons that developed the new technology.
What is new is that the cylons have a monotheistic religion based on Judeo-Christian beliefs and we see the evolution of Baltar into a christ figure. They can download/project and they are experimenting with cylon/human hybridization. But they lack knowledge of earth although they know more about human religious beliefs than the humans as Sharon tells us. There are 12 cylon models but 5 are missing and the S7 are progammed not to investigate the final 5 and have no knowledge of them.
At this point, we know that the final 5 cylons and perhaps Kara are not the products of this reconstructed technology but an older version and in all liklihood are from earth itself and that they do not download. They also do not retain their knowledge of earth or past lives. This leaves reincarnation of the soul into successive human bodies which is mirrored by the S7 resurrection technology. So who or what has knowledge of Christian beliefs and the knowledge to recreate the skinjobs? My premise is that it is the Final cylon and that this character is different from the rest in that it retains all its original knowledge and history back to earth. The final cylon was involved with the construction of the older model cylons and then the lastest model skinjobs and other cylon technology including ship hybrids; programmed them all and is also the cylon god and all the virtual characters. It is also this character that has been driving the agenda, passing on critical information to Baltar in order to advance the agenda of RETURNING TO EARTH. This character also knows the identity of the other 4 cylons and is responsible for returning them to the Lagoon Nebula where their cylon programming will be activated. It has the ability to project visions and dreams not only to cylons but humans and oracles and can influence their decisions. Further we know this character is male as Virtual Caprica has stated several times.

If the super-storyline is a riff on the Da Vinci Code; then it follows that there is a divine bloodline. Part of the purpose of the final 4 at least is to act as guardians of the divine bloodline (Adamas) and equivalent to the Knights Templar who were said to guard and protect the holy relics. I believe these are the crown of thorns, sponge that removed the blood from christ's body, the chalice or holy grail and the lance or spear of destiny (that pierced christ's ribs). We can also assume that there will be a Mary and Joseph and Mary Magdalene equivalent. There is some history that the LDS church had and association with the Knights Templar who were also Free Masons. So its not surprising to me that the Final 4 are in positions to protect or aid the descendants of the devine bloodline. Although they don't consciously know their purpose or history at this point. It also makes sense since it was the final 5 who built the temple of 5. Advanced technology, that uses the light from a supernova to activate. In the last supper picture, we see the holy grail in front of Lee and the spear of destiny in Tyrol's hands. We have also seen the crown of thorns in the form of a bracelet on V6 wrist and the holy sponge in the hands of a V6 when Baltar attempts suicide and finds himself in a resurrection tank where he is told that he is human.

So why Romo Lampkin? Well there is the name to begin with Romo = Rome and Lamkin or Lambkin means: a person who is exceptionally sweet, young, and innocent, as a small child (which is not true, it's a deception). Romo's empathy is a red herring. We know Gina Invierre (means resurrection) and Shelly Godfrey, needs no explanation. When Lamkin shows up on the Galactica Season 3 "The Son Also Rises", he has a cat called Lance (Lance or Spear of Destiny or Lancelot) that sort of pops in and out unexpectedly and seeminly out of nowhere. We learn that his wife's name was Faye (as in Morgan LeFay, the witch from King Arthur's tales) and a cat of course being a witch/warlock's "familiar". He tells Laura that the cat doesn't scratch and bite like his wife did. Later on we see a dead cat and Lamkin hallucinating but others see the cat as well before then. It's in this episode that we also learn his real identity of Gaius Longinus, the centurion who pierced Christ's side with a spear in an act of mercy and is doomed to walk the earth until the second coming of Christ on earth. Of course he doesn't say this but he does say to Lee: you're pilot, king of the pilots. He later tells Lee that he is walking around and everyone is looking at him as if he had blood pouring out his side. So Lamkin is really referring to Lee as Pontius Pilot and Baltar as christ in the context of the upcoming trial and then Lee as christ with the spear wound in his side. Lamkin is the only person in the Galactica universe with this knowledge (with possible exception of Bill and Joseph Adama). Lamkin tells Lee that he looks like his grandfather and yet Lamkin looks no older than Lee. Lee asks if Lamkin knew Joseph and he says that he knew him and hated his guts but learned everything he knew from him. How is this possible? We are given to think that he learned by studying his books and case files but Lamkin speaks as though he knows him personally. One of the most telling parts of this episode is when Lee and Lamkin are in the crew lounge talking about the law. Lamkin says "everyone has demons, you, me, even the machines" and that Joseph Adama told him "that the law was a way of exorcising the demons"and he hated him because he was right. He tells Lee "that Joe Adama cared about understanding why we do what we do, why we cheat on our friends, why we reward our enemies, why we go to war, sacrificing our lives for lost causes. Why we build machines in the hope of correcting our flaws and our shortcomings. Why we forgive, defying logic and the laws of nature with one little stupid act of compassion. We are all flawed." Some of what Lamkin says here is echoed by Leoben when he meets Adama at Ragnar station and it makes sense if Lamkin is their creator and the one who programmed the S7. Romo also tells us that he followed in Joseph's footsteps and associates with the worst of the worst of society (criminals, murderers, addicts, prostitutes?) More about his meeting with Caprica 6 later because this is also a key scene.

During Romos' cross examination of the captive Caprica 6, In the episode " The Son Also Rises"; we see that Romo is not only manipulating Caprica so she will not testify, but he is also playing on Lee's grief and loss of Kara to make a connection with him. He is also playing to the audience of Roslyn and Adama who are also watching the interview. If you accept that Romo is the creator and programmer of the S7, the interview with Caprica, who is prominant as a virtual character, who exhorts, manipulates, tortures and abuses Baltar to love god and accept god's love and accept god's plan for him (she tells him he has a "destiny") as well as the Caprica cylons themselves who have an obsessive love towards Baltar (someone who is possibly not capable of love); then the interview with Romo is revealing in that we learn his motivations for programming the 6's this way and something about his personal history.

The exchange begins with an interview with Baltar where Gaius tells Lampkin that the 6 in detention is a threat to him and he suspects that she will testify against him. (Of course it is the 6's whom he allowed to have access to the mainframe and he fears she will reveal this information). He tells Romo that he must speak to her and try to influence her against this. He tells him to tell her that "he loves her and is thinking about her". The audience doesn't believe him of course and sees this for what it is an attempt to manipulate the 6's love obsession. Romo tells Baltar he understands his feelings. Baltar it should be noted seems on the verge of insanity and is obsessed with writing his manifesto. Romo provides him with paper but also later steals his pen causing Baltar to become agitated. I will give the interview with 6 word for word as it is key:
Romo: I understand that you had a romantic relationship with my client.
Caprica: Gaius Baltar is a brilliant, gifted human being. In the time I have know him, he's made a sport out of mendacity and deception. He is narcissistic, self-centered, feckless and vain. I'm the one who should have stabbed him.
Roslyn: Things are looking up.
Romo: Love: a cautious evolutionary move, fashioning cylons to be capable of experiencing it. I don't know if it was engineered as a tactical imperative but its not for the feint-hearted is it? (He smiles at her as if enjoying her pain.)
Caprica: No, its not.
Romo: Maybe you should have been nicer to your mechanic. Well, perhaps cylon love is not the same as human love. Perhaps its designed to hurt a little less.
Caprica: How would you know?
(Anything in brackets is something that I have added and not part of the conversation.)
Romo: I loved a woman. A beautiful, beautiful woman. But so serious. (Lee is reacting to this in the context of his love for Kara.) This frowning face trapped in the middle of a date. (A "date" with a prostitute?) She had a way of walking, processional, as if she was on her way to her own execution. (Street walking? Street Walker?). We had 10 years and then it fell apart under its own weight. (We also learn at some point that he had two daughters from this "marriage" - from Battlestar Wiki - facts on Romo Lamkin.)
Caprica: Is that what you wanted?
Romo: I thought if I could get get over her, I could get over anything. I could do her, come, be a man. Stand up to any and all kind of punishment. Like clones on empty spinning beds for months. That... that is when I finally realized how much I lover her. If I needed all that strength, what was the point? I needed to be with her. (This is resonating emotionally with both Caprica and Lee and Romo is manipulating both of them intentionally.)
Caprica: Did he ask about me? Gaius? (She says this quite plaintively and although we are given to understand that she is talking about Gaius; she actually uses the name Gaius to address Romo. This is done subconsiously on her part.)
Romo then takes off his sunglasses for the first time. (The audience has a strange sense about Romo because of the glasses. Why wear them? We don't quite trust him in spite of his sometimes fair words. We think he is hiding his eyes or can't stand the light; and eyes are the windows of the soul. And there is also the cylon right eye. We learn later that if the centurions scan the right eye of any of the final 4; that they are programmed not to attack.)
Romo looks Caprica intently in the eyes (is he activating her programming of obsessive love?).
Romo: He wanted to know if you were well, he wanted you to know that he misses you, loves you. Because he can't be here to tell you, he gave me this (Baltar's pen) to give to you. (Lee reacts knowing this is a lie.) He uses that at the risk of great reprisal to express his feelings, to put his world into some kind of recognizable order, to be heard (Roslyn and Adama react to this because Baltar's manifesto is starting to create division in the fleet and they are trying to silence him). He kept it hidden because he knows he will not get another. He wants you to have it, because he would do anything...anything to be with you again. (Essentially, he tells Caprica exactly what she wants to hear to change her mind about testifying and he is also talking about Lee's love of Kara as well as his love for the "beautiful woman").
Caprica: Its a shame, isn't it. Since they'll never let me keep it.
Romo: You understand that your days are owned and tallied by these people up there watching us. I think you realize what's likely to become of you (whether you testify against Baltar or not). I couldn't help you if they paid me ten times what they offered me for Baltar. You won't get a trial, not even a bad one. So, I have to ask you: does your love hurt as much as mine?
Caprica: Yes
Romo smiles slightly, Lee is feeling his own loss of Kara.
Roslyn: I feel like part of our world just fell down.
Romo then puts his glasses back on and Adama notices that he is missing a button (previously, we find out that Roslyn is missing her glasses.)

I surmise from this that Caprica is a recreation of Romo's lost love and he visits all his cruelty on the 6's in retaliation for what he believes his "beautiful woman" did to him. He is obsessed with having this woman love him. Who is this woman? I surmise that she is a prostitute or a street walker who is not emotionally accessible to her "dates" and does not love them. He programs the 6's with the same obsessive love for Baltar who mirrors Romo's own personality and capacity or incapacity for love as well as Baltar's brilliant mind. Baltar uses women as though they are prostitutes. Romo is pleased when he hears that Caprica's love for Baltar hurts her as much as Romo's love for his beautiful woman hurts him. He wants revenge and he tortures the Capricas by programming them to have an obsessive love for someone who is equally inaccessible, Baltar. Baltar is essentially a stand in for Romo. Through the Caprica's and Baltar he has recreated his relationship with his lost love where he triumphs over Caprica instead of the other way around. This is also why the Virtual Capricas and Virtual Baltar's are so cruel and sadistic, because this is a reflection of Romo's true self. More about who I suspect is the lost love and Baltar's destiny later.

At this point, I think it is necessary to talk about cylon technology and what kind of technology Romo has access to. In the episode "Six Degrees of Separation"; we are introduced to another version of Caprica in a blue dress. We think this is a virtual entity inside one of Baltar's fantasy projectsions, but it is not. I surmise that this character is there in the flesh but Baltar (and the audience) think it is a part of the fantasy. In her exchange with Baltar, he mocks her faith and she leaves in disgust. Almost immediately, Dualla arrives at his door asking him to come to the CIC where we meet the figure of Shelley Godfrey who is accuses him of treason and provides false evidence. This character puts on an act and pretends that she has never met Baltar but at times we get flashes of another character behind the mask that tells us she enjoys seeing Baltar squirming and afraid for himself. Shelley is dressed in a drab brown with with black shoes. The previous 6 was dressed in a blue dress. The 6 in blue also displays strange behavior in Baltar's lab, holding and reading documents. This is not how the 6's in red or white behaves. This red and white 6 always comes in the form of virtual god or angel and sometimes as a demon. (A white cross on a red background is also the crest of the Knights Templar.)
Of course in the end, Baltar is found to be innocent and the 6 tells him that this was for his own good and that now nobody will doubt him. She also leaves a pair of red glasses (a reference to the red cylon eye ?) and a direct reference to Romo's distinguishing characteristic - his sun glasses) on the dradis console, so we know she was there in the flesh. But no trace of her can be found on Galactica or any other ship in the fleet. How is this possible? I surmise that Romo's familiar, "the cat" Lance, is a relic of advanced cylon technology from earth that he has in his possession. The cat is a shapechanger and an advanced surveillance device that has been on the Galactica since the beginning easily hidden and undetected and which Romo uses to spy on Galactica (since he has to adjust his plan to account for "free will" - that is god's law). It allows him to be on the galactica without being on the galactica and he controls it himself. The cat it should be noted is a gray and white tabby and when Romo is not in the court room he dresses in a blue jacket. Romo retrieves the cat when he returns to Galactica for Baltar's trial. The cat seems to pop in and out of nowhere. This is a mirror image of the cylon raiders, who pop in and out on recon missions. Sharon, you will remember tells us that we must treat the raider (that Kara captures) like its a pet in the episode where Kara is lost in a firefight and returns with a raider which she later uses to go back to Caprica to retrieve the Arrow of Apollo. The arrow is another advanced cylon device that has a simple innocuous form and provides us with a projection of the zodiak as seen from earth and the first clue on the location of earth. The same with the Temple of 5 on the Algae planet. It should be noted that these two devices use crystals in some way.
There is also the strange interchange between Adama and Starbuck in the mini-series: What do you hear, Starbuck? Nothing but the rain. Then grab your gun and bring in the cat. Boom, Boom, Boom. The cat reference is odd, unless the cat is a listening device. Is this saying a relic of the past? I think what it describes is nuclear war: Boom, Boom, Boom, what do you hear?Nothing. Only the nuclear rain (perhaps dark and laughing rain as in Gaeta's Lament).
And there is the disk itself, which is identified as genuine from security on Caprica. How does Romo get this in his possession? I believe it it given to him by the first Caprica in the mini-series before the bombs drop. After Caprica leaves Baltar (who has another date); she turns around and is startled by someone who is standing behind her. We assume it is a cylon but she says "its about time you got here" in a very denigrating manner as if the person disgusts her. We neversee this person's identity but assume it one of the S7. I believe it's Romo Lampkin and this is how D'Anna knows him in the Temple of 5 because the cylons have had dealings with him before and what one knows, they all know. I also think that Romo is the only cylon that D'Anna was able to recognize and this is why she says there are only 4 in the fleet. When she recognizes Romo, she says "you" as if completely startled and somewhat disgusted. Then she apologizes and asks him to forgive her. Then she self-destructs as per her programming. This is why she tells Baltar that he is the chosen one and why she refers to Romo as the one who programmed us when she is resurrected in Season 4. I will give the reason why I think she was not able to identify the others later.
On a side note, I suspect this episode is a nod to the original Star Trek episode where the crew of the Enterprise find themselves back in time at one of the Apollo missions. There is an advanced human from the future with advanced technology that nobody understands including the crew of the Enterprise; who attempts to change the course of history. We find out at the end of the episode that his black cat can change into the shape of a sexy woman! A little joke on the part of the writers? The episode title "six degrees of separation" also asks the question: how is Romo connected to the key players and how and in what way are people connected to each other.

Will get to you on the nature of cylons: the final 5, the significant 7, hybrids, the real identities of Kara, Baltar and the First Cylon later. And what are Baltar's and Kara's destinies?

So regarding the nature of cylons... we know there are 3 kinds of cylons: the final 4 who for all intents an purposes are almost indistinguishable from humans. The cylon centurions know them by scanning the right eye and they have no knowledge of past history but they are activated by music to recognize that they are cylons but aren't aware of any other purpose other than to carry out their current duties. They appear to have real life histories and are born, grow old and die; but are not sure if these are memory implants (I suspect they are not). They can have children with humans as demonstrated by Tyrol and Cally.
Then there are the S7 who we know are constructed by the final cylon and replicate by downloading into a clone body that is more distinguishable as a machine-human construct. They start out as a blank slate and accumulate knowledge with each download from the collective experiences of each individual model. They follow a specific set of progammed protocols and each have a specific programmed role or function and can have implanted memories. Some models can develop an identity as an individual as demonstrated by 8's, 6's and 3's and may be able to break their programming and exercise free will. This is most noticeable in the 8's and to some extent in the 6's. Two of these models are capable of feeling love. The Leoben model appears to have prophetic abilities. They are attempting to produce a human/hybrid and this is accomplished with the 8's. They all come from the same genetic pool as Simon tells us in the episode "Torn" and that humans developed an immunity to this virus 100 years ago. So we know that the final cylon had access to DNA that is at least 100 years old. I suspect that the DNA is older than 100 and goes back to Kobol. This is complete speculation on my part. The final cylon may replicates by cloning his own DNA and downloading his life experiences to the main download interface/AI which is represented by the Opera House, (as described in the seat of central government and administration in the city of the gods on Kobol). We know from the book of pythia, that humans left Kobol 2000 years in the past and that the book of pythia is suspected of being a chronicle that occured during the exodus from earth to kobol 4600 years ago. So I think that the genetic material that the final cylon has in his possession is original from earth and that all the lords of kobol replicated over the millennia in the same fashion as the final cylon continues to do to present time. However, in the war of the gods on kobol, it seems that this technology was lost except to the original "mechanic" or the one who programmed the 7. Further I think that Lampkin (who is a thief) stole the original DNA of 7 of the LOK and has used it in the creation of the S7 in an attempt to recreate the "original" quorum of 12 apostles. He is also attempting to recreate the process of full cloning in the episode "the farm" and has "stolen" Kara's DNA in order to "raise her from the dead". The second possibility for Romo's continued existence is that he has created for himself a cylon body that is indistinguishable from human but never ages. A third possibility is that there is an equivalent opera house still existing on earth and he goes there once every lifetime to download into a new clone body. The final cylon is the only being who actually knows the way to earth.
If the cloning/replication process and original DNA was lost to the remnants of the LOK and humanity on Kobol; their only choice for continued existence would be to breed with the human population where their genetic memories and the devine bloodline are passed on. This is where we get our oracles and priests and as Tyrol puts it; the handing down of vocations from generation to generation. Roslyn says this is necessary if humanity is going to survive. I would speculate that some of these descendants are genetically predisposed to finding or playing out their roles as Roslyn says " the cycle of time, where we each play out our roles over and over again for eternity". The final 4 seem to be descendants of 4 of the original LOK. I think it is the duty of the LOK to act as guardians of the divine bloodline and those with the strongest genetic traits in each generation find themselves carrying out these roles subconscously. This is why the S4 are paired with the significant leaders. It may also be possible that the final cylon has created a corrupted version of these 4 and has replaced some of the originals, since Tory seems to have gone over to the dark side and Billy, well, he seems more like the guardian we would expect. I also think that the Temple of 5 was designed as a warning system to the guardians and a way to activate them should humanity return to earth, something that terrifies the first hybrid.
This is why I think that D'Anna could only recognize Lampkin, because she had met him before. If the current F4 are descendants of the original F4 at the time that the temple was constructed their appearance and possibly even their gender would be different. This is why she says there are only 4 in the fleet. It is a bluff designed to call them out.
There are some other clues in flashbacks, if you look for them. There are D'Anna's pictures. One is clearly of the final 5 with some recognizable characteristics of each of the final 4. One of them has romo's hairline. LOL The other picture is in a dream of Baltar's that he recieves from the ship hybrid just before wakes and goes to the crying Hera. It is a vision related to the eye of jupiter and the first hybrid's prophecy. It contains an optical illusion. When you look at the picture one way, you can see Romo Lampkin's profile with dark glasses and another way, it resolves into 3 faces. Two of them crying in a howl of agony. In the context of the episode "eye of jupiter", that would be Adama and Lee.
That brings me to the first hybrid and ship hybrids that are modeled on the first hybrid.

So not only is Romo Lampkin a liar; he is also a thief, as we learn in the "Son Also Rises". He shows Lee what he has in his bag of tricks right after the attempt on his life. He has Roslyn's glasses, Adama's button, the district attorney's slipper and Baltar's pen. He explains to Lee that this tells him something about his opponents and makes it all seem rather harmless and comical.
But these little thefts also agitate and weaken his opponents in small irritating ways and makes then less effective. So what else has Romo stolen? My guess is that the law book he show Lee is stolen from Joseph Adama, the strange S&M looking device may be from the judge advocate (who seems to be somewhat disposed to agree with Lampkins suggestions - much to Adama's surprise). He has a crystal ball. I wonder what purpose that serves, (another innocuous looking cylon device?). I think the theft of these small articles gives him control of his opponents in some way. But I think these are minor thefts and that he has larger sins to his credit. I think that he has stolen Tigh's eye (an eye for an eye maybe) and it may not be coincidence that Tigh can no longer smell Ellen, hears her phantom voice scolding him and sees Caprica 6 transform into Ellen. I don't think this is a coincidence and I think Romo has something nasty planned for Tigh. He is using Tigh's love for Ellen against him to give him emotional pain, drive him to drink and discredit him at the trial. And now he is expecting a child with Caprica 6.
I think that he has stolen Kara from Lee and Adama. He is the thief referred to in the Watchtower song and Kara is the Joker (or wild card). He is attempting to steal Lee from his father (as Adama says, Lee hasn't chosen sides yet). And he has stolen Joseph Adama in the flesh from Bill Adama. In other words, he has stolen the holy grail or the divine bloodline.
And he has used Joseph Adama to create the ships hybrids and may possibly have used some of his DNA in the Sharon's and the Leoben's. As Leoben says, what if god decided to give another one of his creations a soul? Adama replies that god didn't create the cylons, man did and he's pretty sure we give didn't them a soul. I believe in this context having a soul means that you have free will and can choose between good and evil and have the capacity for love. The cylons believe love is necessary in order to produce a child. But I think a child with a soul has to come from two parents with free will as well. The Sharon's seem to be able to realize this potential. And I suspect that he has also stolen the DNA of the original LOK.
Joseph Adama seems to correspond with the bibilical character Joseph of Aramithea and is part of the grail legend. He is said to have taken the cup to Britain and hidden it there. The Da Vinci Code story plays with this history. In one part of the story, the keeper of the cup is said to be held in captivity for 42 years sustained by the power of the grail. We learn from Sharon in Razor that the first hybrid is a failed experiment that was abandoned (I think this is a lie told to the S7) and that the cylons believe that the hybrid exists somewhere continuing his evolution. She refers to the old style centurions as the Guardians. These guardians aren't so much guarding him, as they are keeping him captive. This is also mirroring the grail legend as the knights templar were also referred to as the guardians of the grail. It is from Joseph Adama that the ships hybrids get their prophetic ability and to some extend the Leoben's.
(The term centurian is interesting in that roman soldiers were also referred to as centurians and their construction looks something like the old suits of armor as in the knights of the round table. One wonders about their programming and if it is the cylon version of Asimov's three rules of robotics with an inhibitor - LOL).
Leoben believes everything the hybrids say has meaning. D'Anna and the others believe they are insane and that to swim in god's stream of consciousness is to know madness. But I believe that there is truth in what D'Anna says since the cylon god or Romo Lampkin is certainly insane. We find this out in Season 4, and we also find out that he lives in the dark. I think the first hybrids prophecy: the 5th still in shadow, clawing towards the light (god's light?) refers to Romo Lampkin.
The first hybrid also wonders if he is man or machine, he says his children think he is god. This could refer to the hybrids, the cylons and in a sense all of humanity. He sees their lives and their sins. He asks Kendra Shaw if she wants forgiveness and he tries to warn her about Kara, calling her the harbinger of doom and he is correct. He is stopped from getting this message to the fleet. He is terrified of humanity's return to earth although Kendra thinks he fears for his own life. Oddly enough Leoben also knows something about Kara's destiny. He also says that god is in all of us and that he is god. So who is Kara?

In the Last Supper Picture, Kara takes the position of the apostle John. This position has been interpretated as the Beloved Disciple who is not named or Lazarus or Mary Magdalene. Here are some quotes from wikipedia:
The Gospel of John contains references to the “disciple whom Jesus loved”.
This anonymous follower and idealized disciple is often identified as John the Apostle, thought to be also the Evangelist; others have proposed Lazarus as Mark the Evangelist, or supposed him to be a fictitious character.
Some writers suggest that the Beloved Disciple in the Gospel of John really was originally Mary Magdalene, claiming that Mary’s separate existence in a few common scenes with the Beloved Disciple, such as in John 20, were later modifications, hastily done to authorize the gospel in the late 2nd century. In the Gospel of Mary, part of the New Testament Apocrypha, a certain Mary who is commonly identified as Mary Magdalene, is commonly referred to as being loved by Jesus more than the others. In the gospel of Philip also from Apocrypha, the same is specifically said about Mary Magdalene. For example, compare these passages from the gospel of John and the apocryphal gospel of Philip:
It is said that there is a correlation between these two texts. Arguably it is possible that an early canonical version of the Gospel of John directly influenced later Gnostic traditions. The three women mentioned at the foot of the cross ) are the exact same women mentioned in Philip, with Mary being Jesus’s “companion” or beloved disciple. Clearly the Gnostic text is confused in its grammer, stating that Mary’s sister was also Jesus’ sister in the same passage, obviously an error.
Another more recent interpretation draws from the Secret Gospel of Mark, existing only in fragments. In this interpretation, two scenes from Secret Mark and one at Mark 14:51-52 feature the same young man or youth who is unnamed but seems closely connected to Jesus. As the account in Secret Mark details a raising from the dead very similar to Jesus’ raising of Lazarus in John 11:38-44, the young man is identified as Lazarus and associated with the Beloved Disciple.
The Military and Hospitallier Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem is the religious/military order, purportedly dating back the First Crusade.
Members of the Church of Jesus Crhist of Latter-day Saints believe that John will, indeed, tarry in the flesh until the Savior returns.
