Lately, I've had to take up country music in order to play lead guitar for this country band I've gotten involved with in town. However, I think they're already trying to replace me. Makes me sad, but then again I won't have to listen to more country music.

Since I heart Aerosmith, I'm now listening to their BRAND NEW ALBUM called Honkin' on Bobo. It's blues, redone.

I haven't really been into aerosmith since Permanent Vacation (the last album I really got into)... but their cover of "Baby Please Don't Go" has really been growing on me. Maybe I'll have to give the new album a try...

Their version of "Road Runner" is very good, too.

Definitely a big fan of Baby Please Don't Go. It was one of three they played on their Aerosmith/KISS tour last fall, and I'm so glad that they hung up their 'crap rock' spurs for an album. This is the first one I've wanted to buy in years.

Lucinda Williams, "World Without Tears". Blues with barbed-wire edges. "Righteously" is my current favorite song.

"The Trial" by Kafka. I got sick of listening to the same twenty songs on the radio, so I leapt right into some really obtuse depressing German literature-on-tape.

I actually really like "The Trial" by Pink Floyd. I think it's from the Wall. The reason I don't know is the version we always listen to is from an a cappella album and sung by the Beezelbubs at Tufts University.
And for anyone into a cappela, the Beelxelcbulbs ROCK.

I like to buy cds that compliment my collection. So, to sit beside all of my black, death, heavy metal cds, i've recently purchased a copy of Spaced Out! A Unique Collection of Songs by Leonard Nimoy & William Shatner. Definitliy a good listen for anyone likes the feeling of the their brain slowing to a complete stop. I highly recomend listening to William Shatner's delightful cover of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds and Leonard Nimoy's fabulous song, The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. Everybody get out there and find this cd.

Almost as surreal as seeing orcs singing the Rainbow Connection between scenes in LOTR...

I'm presently listening to Anoushka Shankar, daughter or sitar god Ravi Shankar. I always enjoyed the sound of the sitar.

I've seen the whole video, but it was pretty crappy quality, but still one of the most memorable things that I've ever witnessed. The most memorable thing I've witnessed was two homeless guys chugging back on some mouthwash. Mmmmmmmm... Yummy.

I'm just happy to report that I heard my first "Centerfield" by John Fogerty on the radio yesterday, which officially signals the start of springtime to me.
Put me in coach! I'm ready to play <clap clap> today! Look at me! Gotta be -- Centerfield!
Al -was always a terrible baseball player, but, man, do I love that song.
