The dream showed the escapees allied with Adam, Maury, and Sylar. See I didn't see it as Sylar with them. Mama Petrelli looks at the established Heroes getting mauled. Then the escapees, Adam, Maury (thank you! I could not remember his name), and Tracy. Then Sylar comes up behind Mama, puts his hands on her shoulders, and looks at the villains with the same look she has. She isn't frightened of Sylar (I know, I just watched it again at NBC's website, to make sure I was remembering right). I saw it as a support (in the dream symbolism sense), like she says later she can't depend on her (other?) sons anymore. I'd also like to note that they are both standing in the middle between the "heroes" and the "villains," which may mean that they both have the same moral ground of their own objectives, or it may not mean anything. Anyway, he's allying with her in the dream. At least, that's how I interpreted it.

Apropos of nothing, when Hiro went to the future and there were all the air raid sirens blaring and the Japanese people running around screaming, and Hiro looked up to see what the deal was, did anyone else secretly almost expect to see Godzilla stomping around? Or was that just me?

Drew, thanks for the post and for reading my long-ass rant (Yes I also was expecting some large creature of sorts) Something else occurred to me about Daphne stealing Hiro's half of the formula. Even Hiro says that she must have known he would take it out, this can only mean that there is another seer out there with some great pin-pointing skills, to know the exact date and time he would open the envelope. Could the formula be the serum Mohinder discovered? When Future Peter argues with Mama P. he says that the formula the Company was protecting gets out and it changes everything, and from what he tells Nathan it lead to "mutants" being hunted, slaughtered, "used"(probably for experiments like he says at the start of the first episode) and a war. I hope we're treated to more Parkman and African Seer next episode, his part was really slim in these two episodes, and that spirit walk thing could be interesting. You guys think we'll see Micah and Joan in the next one, there's been no mention of the young ones, except about Molly, whom apparently got sent somewhere, I bet the answer is in the comics, gotta get up to date.

Well, or someone just assumed that given George Takei's death, Hiro would inherit the formula, and was smart enough to know he would immediately open the safe. Daphne could have been keeping tabs on the lawyer for weeks -- the Flash can vibrate his molecules at superspeed to become intangible or even invisible, she might be able to pull the same trick. She might've just spied on the lawyer until he delivered the DVD, then invisibly waited in Hiro's office until he played it. -D

Just got up to date with the comics and I have the answer to my Daphne question. It turns out it had nothing to to with special powers, just a disgruntled employee who thought would be next in line to run the company, who fed her the live camera fee from Hiro's office. She was outside the building, and when she saw the envelope she ran in and that's that.
Daphne seems to be a bit too hyper and too young, to have honed her abilities to the extent of Flash's, I guess she could do that sometime in the future when her powers evolve a bit more.

Daphne seems to be a bit too hyper and too young, to have honed her abilities to the extent of Flash's, I guess she could do that sometime in the future when her powers evolve a bit more. That's a fair point. Although Impulse could do it, and he defines the phrase "too hyper and too young." (But on the other hand, he was also born into the Flash legacy.) -D

I dunno... I always thought those "extra" speedster powers seemed kinda silly. I mean, all my molecules are vibrating right now, and I still can't walk through walls.

No, you can; you just have to make sure you're running as fast as possible when you do it, to further accelerate your molecules. Try it now. -D

Real quick thoughts:
Nikki clones? Lame.
The preview with Sylar and the cat had me laughing so hard. My guess is alternate universe where everything's backwards.
As far as concerns Prof. Pretty Stupid, is anyone else reminded of Jeff Goldblum The Fly? Would it be wrong to say that I'd find it really cool if Maya opens the medicine cabinet to show little jars with pieces of his skin?

Was that Sylar and Mr. Muggles? Talk about a team-up that will rock the foundations of the Heroes universe. Together again for the first time!
Well, we get some answers this episode: Niki (and by extension Jessica) are definitely dead. Bringing in "Lindsey" is a good way to keep Ali Larter on the show, I guess, but I agree that I hope it's not clones. I'm surprised, too, because I didn't think they'd fully plumbed Niki's personality issues or whether Jessica was just a split personality or something more. Guess they decided it wasn't going anywhere.
No Mohinder and Maya, no West this episode, plenty of Peter, Sylar, Hiro and Ando, and the HRG... woohoo! I'm a little worried that it seems like they're taking tiny, tiny steps toward trying to rehabilitate Sylar; yeah, he's still a killer, but the stuff about how he "can't control it" worries me. If they get to the point where his "hunger" can be supressed and he start trying to repent for what he's done, I'll be disappointed. But I have faith that the writers will keep him a villain in the long run. Thoughts?

This show is starting to be worth watching for Mama Petrelli alone! I really hope they keep her being an awesome... erm, villain? I guess? (Although the line "I never should have given you up for adoption" was pretty lame, and HOW many people in this show have secret parents? Yikes.)
Hiro and Ando are definitely best together, and I'm loving Daphne, especially with the two of them. Hiro is SUCK a lovable (but getting dark) geek, and Ando tries not to be, but is, too. (The running popcorn gag was hysterical, as well as "I'm being awesome.")
I'm with you, Drew. I do NOT want to see a rehabilitated Sylar. In fact, I didn't want to see Sylar at all, although teaming him up with Noah is working better than I thought so far.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but no Mohinder- yay!
I'm interested to get more details on what Matt was seeing- I'd also like to find some screencaps of more of those images he saw. They were pretty neat.

Well that was pretty damn cool.
No Mohinder this episode will probably mean extra helpings next week.
I was glad we got to see more of Matt and the African Seer, interesting how he can induce the power to see the future into people, I doubt they'll tell us anymore about that technique any time soon.
The whole kinda "rehabilitation" of Sylar hmmm, granted he and HRG make a freaky team, but I think it's more to do with the main subject of this chapter, when we're already seeing relationships and people changing. Hiro is constantly suspicious of Ando, Ando is sick of being the powerless normal sidekick - I would be too - and I think that little stunt in the cargo container changed something in Claire as well, or at least it made her face up to what she really wants to do, she wants to hurt bad people, not mainly to save others mind you, but just to hurt them back.
So future Pete took present Pete into the future I guess, and that's where we'll see that part of the preview where Claire wants to make him feel "every bit of pain", to my mind this shows that at the moment she's going toward a type of vengeance motif, also black leather outfits mmm.
Poor Hiro, he's the blame for all of this formula crap; since Mamma P. wanted her part of the formula closer to her, who is this mystery person who wants the whole thing and is now close to getting it? (Adam, or are we getting a sort of competition to the Company?)
