One short word? How about Go?
Cha-CHING! Girl power seems to rule today, with our second consecutive correct answer... and in this case, worth double the points as the movie Lady Luck owns on both DVD and VHS. Way to go!

Uhm... haven't guessed yet today. How about 10 Things I Hate About You?
Definitely her type of movie, and in fact she does own the soundtrack if I'm not mistaken, but as for the film itself... nada.

Howzabout Saturday Night Live: The Best of Phil Hartman?
You may remember him from such celebrity impressions as Frank Sinatra ("The money's on the dresser, I'm done wit' you, baby"), and from such DVD collections as Lady Luck's. Yes indeed, Al racks up the first 2 points on the Y chromosome side! Damn, it feels good to have some points on the board. It's a tight race so far, still plenty of time for someone else to dance away with the lead!

ooh, I'll join in too.
Surely one of the TV series must be The Simpsons?
While we certainly do own all 7 seasons, I'm the one who brought them into the house, not Lady Luck. Sorry, loulabelle... better luck tomorrow!

Howzabout Saturday Night Live: The Best of Phil Hartman? Blast, I was going to guess that. But I think I know who is the alum on the second SNL DVD. Is it Dana Carvey? Yes way! You know how getting 2 points is kinda like that funny feeling you used to get when you climbed the rope in gym class? That's pretty cool.Thanks...I like to play...

Secondhand Lions? Upon reading this, she claims to have never even heard of it, so... sorry, no.

going down the chick-flick lines...Bridget Jones's Diary?
Another good guess, certainly within the realm of reason... but not quite what the judges were looking for. Sorry!

okay, for another TV show guess ... Gilmore Girls? Right network, wrong show.
For another hint, on one or two of the movies you might want to consider a more... aquatic environment.

She doesn't have Girl 6, by any chance?
Girl? No. But you're not far off...

Hmmm... For the TV boxed set, could it be "Dawson's Creek?" That's the only thing I can guess that fits "aquatic." Other than "Surface," but they haven't even had enough episodes to box. I think.
Good guess, but the "aquatic" clue unfortunately refers to her movies, not the TV sets... for those, you'll probably want to look on the two different coasts.
(And everyone remember, the O.C. ain't on the WB.)

I don't think I've guessed today. Ocean's 11?
Sometimes you take the house, and sometimes the house takes you. Sorry, Sue, you're busted... come back tomorrow with another bankroll.

Hmmm...I'll take a stab at combining the "chick flick" element and the "aquatic" element...does she have Splash? You're closing in, but you'll want to get more recent, and a bit less chick flick-y for them. More age-appropriate.

The premise: And yes, Mutants may participate as well, though as the only posters who’ve set foot in the place (albeit briefly), I’m swearing Lissa and Duckie to honor pledges that they didn’t spend any time looking things over. Like any guy who steps foot into another man's home, my eyes were drawn to the movie collection... so I think I'll need to pass on this contest. I may "out" you as a fan of some sappy romantic comedy, which you won't be able to claim that LadyLuck bought Duckie, I've already copped to owning Friends DVDs- let's be honest, how much more of a hit can my masculinity really take? Besides, I only watch Jerry Maguire for that one scene with Kelly Preston, you know that.

Heh. Duckie's been bugging ME to watch Jerry Maguire for ages, and I'm the one that keeps refusing. Nothing like a little role reversal. Of course, I don't have a thing for Tom Cruise at all, and someone thinks Rene Zellweger is cute.... (A fact I shamelessly exploited to see Chicago. Hehehe.) But yeah, I actually DO remember talking about your movie collection, and I remember commenting on a few movies in specific, so I'm going to be good and not cheat. Although if this were a game of Hearts, forget it. (I cheat at Hearts.) Hmmm... considering I only play Hearts when I'm drinking -- heavily -- that has potential disaster written all over it.

Age appropriate aquatic movie? Finding Nemo.
Bam! Al kicks it up a notch by pinpointing one of the aquatic life-named movies. Nicely done!
