Yay another one! Sorry about the timezone confusion guys, I'll make a guess every 24 hours just to make it easy.
Not at all, lou, you were well within the rules... no cause for apologies. Game on!

okay i'll bite ... could the reiner movie be The American President?
- ashley
It could, in the most theoretical of senses, but in a far more technically correct sense, it isn't. Sorry!

Rob Reiner movie... Primary Colors?
Not primary enough, I'm afraid.

The Story of Us?
(EDIT: At least I think that's Rob Reiner)
It is indeed, and you are absolutely correct, sir! In fact, Lady Luck calls it one of her all-time favorite movies and says she never fails to cry at the end of it. Good show!
Only two to go, gang. Both movies have two words in their titles, both involve casts of mostly unknowns- one old, one young. Oh, and one involves an actor from Friends, the other an actor from The O.C.

I don't have a calculator but I believe... ["Friends" - (David Schwimmer + Courteney Cox + Lisa Kudrow + Matt LeBlanc + Mathew Perry)] + Superman III x Ron Livingston + 1 = Office Space + 1? Ooh, I know that last one so bad I can taste it! (It tastes yucky). By the way, Drew, I suppose you do have somewhat of a resemblence to that guy. Heh... ironically, though I have been known to show off my "Oh!" face to certain lucky individuals, it's actually the other movie where Lady Luck thinks I bear a resemblance to one of the main characters. Be that as it may, however, you're absolutely correct- Office Space is the second-to-last movie on our list! (I actually was worried all those "Damn, it feels good to..." clues I kept giving were too obvious... guess not. )
Only one to go, gang... who'll be walking away with the prizes when the dust settles?

Oh, no, I was actually referring to that one movie left with the resemblance thing. You thought I was comparing you to "Oh Face"? Jeez, I'm sorry Heh heh... no problem. (I DO like that new chick in Marketing.) So you think you know the last one, huh? Guess we'll find out later...

I'm pretty sure I know that last movie too, but I'd rather get my points up finally going for those Felicity seasons. I tried to read your posts very carefully to look for clues, but it comes down to a pure coin toss. Not just 1, and not the whole series. How about...1 and 2? And if 3 is in there too, then I will kick myself, but I'm sticking to 1 and 2. Got that boot ready? Sorry fen... up until Christmas you would've been right, but my parents got her the third season as a gift. Still, if no one gets the last movie by tomorrow, feel free to guess again!

okay, i really hope i'm right, because it looks like i'm about to lose my standing (will there be a tie-breaker if needed? uh-oh ....), but i'm pretty sure this is supposed to be the movie in new york, and peter gallagher from the o.c. is in it so ... Center Stage? I guess that would cover having a teacher also. *crossing fingers!*
- ashley
Aaaaaand that's the ballgame, folks! Yes, displaying once again a knowledge of our movie collection that's making me seriously consider changing the locks, Ashley comes through with the correct answer at the 11th hour! The final movie in Lady Luck's collection is indeed Center Stage, and it's enough to cement Ashley as our winner! She will receive, upon emailing me her address, her choice of used DVDs, either Chasing Amy or Big Fish, as well as have the opportunity to make me review any movie of her choosing. Cool beans!
Now, as for our runners-up:
-Al comes in a very respectable second place, and thus will receive the remaining DVD, after Ashley has made her choice. His address, also, is humbly requested to be emailed to me. Good show! -Oogie and zuul are tied for third, meaning I'll be devising a tiebreaker and posting it in short order... stay tuned.
In the meantime, I'd like to thank everyone who participated in my little game- I had a great time, and I sincerely hope you all did as well. And I promise, if Lady Luck ever comes to her senses and kicks me to the curb, forcing me to seek out someone else to combine movie collections with, you'll all be the first to know. Till then!

Man, that was pretty fun. Thanks, Drew, I'm gonna keep a look out for more contests like this! It was fun playing with everybody! Way to go, Ashley, you definitely pulled a SpankyLoo.
As for the prizes, I'd like to concede to Oogie if I may, as I already own Go. But if you've come up with a tie-breaker by the time you read this I'd be happy to play for the hell of it.

I was just going to concede to you, zuul. The prize isn't important to me, and you did name more DVDs than I did. And congratulations to Spanky and Al. Well played, clerks...er, mutants...whatever.

Hmm...How 'bout a Mexican standoff between pythianlugme, fenella, and loullabelle? Someone should get it; Go's a damn good movie.
By the way, I forgot to congratulate Drew on the eventual marriage to Lady Luck! Any woman with The Truman Show and Empire Records in her collection is worth keeping around, even if she doesn't like Punch-Drunk Love.

Hmm. And just as I had devised a tiebreaker, too, both contestants decide they don't want the prize. Well poop.
There are two ways we can go here, by my reckoning:
-Since zuul already has the movie, Oogie can take it OR -If neither of the 3rd placers are interested, then I'll administer the tiebreaking question to the 3 runners-up and let them battle it out.
The ball is in Oogie and zuul's courts. Guys?

I also already own the movie, so I will graciously back out of the tie-breaker. Good luck to the other two!
