I've noticed we've had quite a few new posters around these parts. So I decided to open a thread for introductions. So, tell us something about yourselves. Movie interests. Job. Blood type. Did you know I'm a Prince of Nigeria and if you only give me your checking account information I will be glad to send you a few million dollars for no reason whatsoever? But seriously folks. This thread could be for the new and old people. Introductions and general rant about life spot. I'm druidGirl. I like movies about vampires, and lesbians. Preferably lesbian vampires. I've also been coming to the MRFH for a while. Right around the time Clare became a review actually. Funny, that. Speak up. What about you guys?

My name is Bob, and I'm a processed food packer from New Mexico. I enjoy studying the history of waffle irons, bathing in Dr Pepper, and the films of Carrot Top. My favorite colour is Jazz, and my favorite band is Salami Sandwiches. Oh, I'm also a compulsive liar. www.mutantreviewers.com/rbios.htmlmight give you a more accurate idea of who I am... My avatar comes from an extremely odd japanese cartoon. There was a big thread explaining it in the Archives, but it looks like our glorius leader has archived it in the bin. I also encourage the following posters to post in this thread: AAAAGH, AstralJung, CrimsonGuard, Ford Prefect Edrix, Endangel, Ender, EvilGenius, EyeballChambers, FoolsTale, FordRulz1981, Gookey, HFORDRULZ1981, HelgaPataki, JackDaniels, KrazyKreation, Lovetroll, Mercenary, MmmbopFiend, Spiderman, ScarletGuard, Snij, UrbanSombrero, WallflowerSam, Warp, Jellybean, Joanna, Justincognito, Shinobi89, sundance, sunshine, trevooze, wilgabriel, yello And if you've no idea who any of those people are, thats because they're all the registered mini-mutants with a 0 post count. Come out of the shadows people, we're not that nasty... - Mutant Rich Using official title in case any of the lurkers are confused.

My name is Kaleb, and I work in a Christian bookstore, where I'm able to harvest a smorgasbord of mockable material in the form of poorly-researched end-times fiction.
As we're in the off-season here in Branson, my current job duties are limited to thumb twiddling, compulsively straightening books that are already as straight as they're ever going to be, and pacing back and forth like a caged animal.
As for movie tastes, I'm willing to try anything that doesn't reek of Xtremity, or put me off for one of a myriad of other inscrutable reasons.
All in all, I'm of the rather stodgy opinion that new movies, and most new forms of anything, suck with alarming regularity. I have this theory that good original material ceased to happen sometime in 1998.
That's why, in terms of movies, music, and most other forms of media, you'll find me residing comfortably in the 80s and early 90s.
My avatar is, of course, Metal Man; one of the fiercest of Mega Man's foes, in the sense of being very easily dispatched. But, on the other hand, he can hurl saw blades. Can you hurl saw blades?
Continuing with the Capcom theme, you'll note the presence of a jiggly Felicia at the bottom of my post.
In conclusion, my checking account number is 924...hey, wait a minute. You aren't really a Nigerian prince, druidGirl! Silly. You almost pulled one over on ol' Kaleb, but ol' Kaleb was too quick for you.

Well, yes, technically. I never really had the occasion for it though. If I ever get around to making a suit of armor I'll clip a couple saw blades to my belt in case I need a ranged weapon. Because, you know, it's hard enough to chase people down without 60 lbs of motion-restricting metal all over you.
As has been revealed more times than it is prudent to do so on a public board, my real name is Justin (but not THE Justin) and my brother is Sean (but not THE Sean). I have yet to decide if I'm really as psychotically homicidal as I sometimes appear. Just too much work, ya know?
I like lots of movies, I'm an ocean and aerospace engineering student and I don't know my blood type. I had better figure that out before I try to throw saw blades I suppose....

I am a silver dragon-priestess-bard who has an obsession with taking fantasy-themed personality quizzes. ;D Of course, this morbid fascination stems from a strange love of fantasy novels. Go figure. But fantasy movies? Lord of the Rings is IT, buddy. Dwarves are hot.
Websites are, of course, also a favorite... homestarrunner.com is the best, for it has the same twisted humor that I do...
I just joined yesterday, so THAT is why I haven't made any posts yet.
So I'm posting now. w00t.

Homestarruner.com is so awesome! I try my best to convince everyone I know to spend as much time there as they can. People don't always listen to me though.

I is Og... Og is good. Og like pretty. Og dance! OG DANCE!
*Og proceeds to dance, dance like there's no tommorow! DANCE UNTIL THE NIGHT COMES SHINING ON! DANCE OG! DANCE!*
With that little spectacle out of the way, let me introduce my sexy self. I'm Jeremy, nineteen year old college student from just north of the Los Angeles area. That's right, I know movie stars. I know those people you see in soap commercials. I know someone who knows someone who worked with a girl who once saw Bruce Campbell driving down the street!
I'm also highly overslept and oversugared. I know neither of those are real words, but it's all good. I'm insane.
My avatar is that of a photomanipulated abandoned house. I did it for a website I'm working on, and thought it was purty. The line of words strung together beneath that are lyrics from a song by a local punk band called C.O.F., the song's called the Timid. Masterful work of lyrical nonsense. I'd post the link to the site, but it's naughty words and it'd get censored so blah.
The words in my signiture are from a wicked awesome ska band called Streetlight Manifesto, check them out or I'll cry.
I also run a website covering the local punk scene called ValleyPunk.com . It doesn't have much on it yet, but there are radio programs with good punk rock, and my moronic self and a friend just acting a'fool. Take a listen, will you?
Movies I like? Mostly pretentious philosophical movies and psychological thrillers. Sci-fi moreso lately. Comedies. And of course, horror movies. Nothing like a splatter of blood to brighten your day.
I also tend to write a lot.

My name is Eryn and I have a cold. *coughcoughhacksneeze* As BladeStarr pointed out on another thread, I am a rabid anime fan. My avatar features my favourite character (Anthy) from my favourite show (Revolutionary Girl Utena). She's like me in a lot of ways: quiet, spends a lot of time alone, is a bit of a doormat, has a dark side that no one knows about... woops, did I say that out loud? I do have my fun side too, though. I write a lot of parody-ish humour stuff, and my favourite types of TV shows (live action) contain a lot of humour. When I go see movies, though, comedies are not what I often see. I like films where I get to see things that I never have before, and that leads me to watch 1: a lot of sci-fi, fantasy, and musicals, and 2: many, many movies that can only be described as just plain bizarre. I find myself bored at the millions of real-world-present-based movies that come out each year; unless they can REALLY offer something special and not just a ferret joke or two (*cough*AlongCamePolly!*cough*), I probably won't like them. The comedy movies that I do see and like are along the lines of MP's Holy Grail and Pirates of the Carribean: different than what "normal" people are used to. No wonder I feel so at home on this site. I wonder if that means I'm an escapist and I hate real life... naaaah! I actually quite enjoy my life. I have lots of good friends, a family I get along with, a school that actually kicks arse, and plenty of anime by my side. I won't be a potential suicide victim any time soon. ^_~ But I figure I get enough of reality in...well, reality. Why should my fantasy life in movies have to be like my real life too?

I'm not really new and I'm kinda boring...so I'll keep this short.
I like a wide variety of movies, from Tarantino to Altman to Jonze. Favorite Actor: Benicio del Toro Favorite Actress: Angelina Jolie I like to act and have been involved with some productions. My most embarrassing experience is when I made a fool of myself in front of Bruce Campbell. But man....it was worth it for those few minutes with the man! Favorite Beverage: Diet Pepsi Favorite Muppets Character: Animal My av is an altered painting of Talia from the Batman comic series. I had to alter it in Paint, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see it.
