Oh, well, I guess I should do something on here.
I am Samus, of the 9th Castle, of the 9th Land, of the 9th Nation, of the 9th World, of the 9th Solar System, of the 9th Galaxy, of the 9th Supercluster, of the 9th Universe, of the 9th Eye of God, Knight of the Round-Shaped, Circular, Oval Table, Defender of Silliness and Just Us, but if you really must you may call me Sam. My race is Human and i'm a level 20 Sorcerer/20 Red Dragon Disciple. So I am epic level.
Well, I'm 16, from Pittsburgh, training to hopefully one day be a working actor, hoping to get out of this city as soon as reasonably possible, and I like all you can eat wings. A lot. There's this one place where I ate 37 wings once. Anyway, I don't think you needed to know that.
My avatar is from...well...I want to keep that a mystery. Oh, and Auron rules.
Oh, and my movie tastes...I like anything that's good. Well, actually, my favorite movies are Waking Life, something with Jim Carey in it, probably something with Kevin Spacey in it (oh, you guys should review K-PAX), and...um...a lot of other things. Yeah.
So that should clear up some confusion, especially for the people on the forums who don't know me well.

Aw, the Shadow Play Girls are fun. *laughs* I am so biased when it comes to talking about Utena, though. It's like I can't say anything bad about it anymore. ^^;; The only part of the show I really disliked was the way character of Ruka came and went (there should've recieved some sort foreshadowing to show that he was coming. You don't just introduce an important character in the last third of the show and only have him in two episodes, dangit.)

Why not? They did it with Orson in the Lodoss War OVA and with Jajuka in Escaflowne. I wanted more Jajuka dern it! ;D

I know it happens, but I'm saying that it shouldn't, silly. ^^ And this is getting off topic. We ought to just go make an anime thread in the TV section and continue there.

Hey, no need, this is a time-honored tradition here! Congrats Anthy, you've just hijacked your first thread in the MRFH forums! ;D Spend enough time here and you'll see that this is quite normal. Penis Fish.

"I am so biased when it comes to talking about Utena"
Dude, I do that ALL THE TIME. Sometimes I can't say five words without slipping in something about Utena and her Utes. Utena is the Ultimate person that has EVER started with a U.
Utena.
She rocks.
Unless it's a he.
Or an it.
Or a vaguely defined tentacle monster.

Wow, I've been mocked for the first time on the board too. Seems that I'm going through the MRFH rites of passage at super-speed (is there a list of those? If not, there should be.) ;D And Utena is a she, but she's a tomboy lesbian (or at the very least bi) so that's close enough to a guy anyway. Not sure about the tentacle monster part, though. Maybe it's caused by all the fumes that made everyone else at Ohtori Academy go insane... Anyway, I'm used to seeing people booted on other boards for carrying on off-topic conversations in threads. So much to learn!

I am known as Valentinez Alkalinella Xifax Sicidabohertz Gumbigobilla Blue Stradivari Talentrent Pierre André Charton-Haymoss Ivanovicci Baldeus George Doitzel Kaiser the Third. Don't hesitate to call. My day is as good as made. Too bad there's only about an hour of it left. I need to switch to Cingular, so I can rollover my unused made-day hours. Just stay away from Dragonball, and you should be fine.

I always imagined these forums like a public pool. And sometimes, you get that kid that pees in the pool. And then all the other kids let him stay in the pool instead of kicking him out so they can make fun of him and call him names, like Pestley, Wussly, or sing songs to the tune of "YMCA" called "Why's Westley Gay?". Ah, childhood. ;D Oh, to sort of stay on topic, if you hadn't guessed my name is Westley. As in The Princess Bride Westley. One of the reasons why it is my favorite movie. I have a Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems, which does diddly in the midwest where I'm located, so I'm currently going back to school for a Master's of Business Administration. Hey, they can't fire me if I'M the boss! Muahahaha! Anywho, I am also a rabid anime fan just like Anthy, and also a fan of anything I put in my "Weird" category. This means anything which is not "normal". For example, Law and Order is "normal", whereas the short lived USA series G vs. E (Good Versus Evil which is sort of Pulp Fiction meets Paradise Lost) is "Weird". So in this "Weird" category I include anything supernatural, anything horror, fantasy, amazing sci-fi (not boring realistic sci-fi), and stupid comedy (i.e. Monty Python and Dumb and Dumber). On a more personal level, for about 3 years of my 5 year stint in college, I was a philosophy major. Which is why I have a bust of Socrates "So-crates dude" as my avatar (when it's working). By proxy through this connection with philosophy, I also have a strong interest in history and religion. In the past I've been a Christian, a Buddhist, a Taoist, then a Baha'i (look it up, good stuff!). Finally, I discovered much to my chargrin that no religion perfectly answers all of my hard-pressing analytical questions. So, I did what anyone as crazy as I am, or Californian, would do: I made my own religion. It is called Philotic Humanitarianism, and if you want any more details, head over to my website. If you don't, then you've realized that this post has already been WAY too long and you never wanted to know this much about the Cuisinart of Doom. I apologize.

EDIT: Well, It appears that as I was typing, the derail was reraileded. Ah well. ------------------------------ Sorry to interrupt a perfectly good derailment, I promise I'll keep it short. As my handle lets on, my name is Al, short for Alan. I'm 22 and from Wallingford, Connecticut. I graduated from Marist College this past May with a degree in English Literature, and since that doesn't help you get a real job anywhere, I work in the Wesleyan University bookstore. As is a general prerequisite for having stumbled onto MRFH, I watch lots of movies with very little prejudice as to genre, quality, or everybdy else's opinion. I have a DVD collection that just reached 200 as of yesterday (If you're really interested, you can check it out here: www.dvdprofiler.com/mycollection.asp?alias=Gunslinger%20Al), and I've just noticed how much of it has aquired dust since i bought it. Hm. Anywho, I've been reading MRFH for about five years, and my all time favorite movie shuttles between Aliens, Almost Famous, and The Empire Strikes Back, depending on my mood. Lesse, I'm a Sagittarius, I hate tomatoes and eggplant, and I'm currently reading Middlemarch by George Eliot and have Sailing the Wine-Dark Sea: Why the Greeks Matter by Thomas Cahill as my Employee Pick at the bookstore. Since it's been brought up, I too had quite a fixation on anime for some time, but ever since the market has become saturated with it, it's lost some of it's charm for me. Oh, and my avatar is the final illustration from The Gunslinger by Stephen King, which I think is a highly underrated series by an extremely underrated author. The quotes surrounding it are (as of 1/21) from Harold and Maude and FireflyOK, that's everything I can think of at the moment. Feel free to rederail. Al
